A forum is a meeting place to discuss views and ideas, but it is not a forum if one side of a community can marginalize and oust another side. That is a stifled and censored debate. Leading to a boring club of ‘back-slappers’ and we should also note that the best selling newspapers in the world are not the China Daily but papers like the News of the World and the Star.
The reason of this as strange as it may be must be human nature. We want the filth and the conflict and without it there is no challenge. With this it must be remembered that we all have a choice to ignore that which we disagree with or find offensive.
I think many posters accept this but find that ethnic hatred or eugenics crosses this line and should not be tolerated. This is not about the content of an idea but rather the way the message is delivered. For example when a poster says that the Jewish government is evil, then that is a point of view, but when this turns to ALL Jews are evil then a line has been crossed into eugenics and Nazi ideology. This expressed against ANY ethnicity is ignorant as it is nothing to do with what the reality may be.
Posters who use eugenics in their posting could easily change that language to suit a more subtle presentation without spoiling their main points.
WARNING THIS IS NOT ABOUT LOSING POSTERS ………
This is NOT about losing any posters, quite the opposite as if the language inciting eugenics changed just slightly to be more subtle then maybe more people would post. This would actually make those posters even more read, which surely must be why they post in the first place.
