To keep a war from escalating from "conventional" to "strategic nuclear", capability to produce replacement JETS, MISSILES and air force personnel is vital!

BUT what the heck!
It's just a scenerio........

VERY DANGEROUS scenerios!

cheerios!

Mag,

All those "controversial" pics we see out there throughout the massive Chinese www can't be all be just pen*s envy by products of Chinese enthusiasts. My speculation is this: near 99% of them are proposed designs submitted by the various Chinese State Aeronautic agencies as bids for the Armed Forces to review as feasibility studies and evaluations. The sometimes almost to-detail technical drawings accompanying some of the pics defies the idea they are fan arts because no one, not even dedicated enthusiast as myself would be stupid enough and/or willing enough to put such effort into a fantasy. Following are three such pics which I would give plenty of credibility:

西飞 新型隐身JH-7B

隐身版YFC-1E“枭龙”战机!

(There is supposedly also a two powerplant version of this plane)

The speculative J-16, or possibly the semi-stealthy J-11"C"

An artist's configuration accompanied by a technical drawing was uploaded in the Internet not too long ago.

And this might actually be the real XXJ we are working on and...

... it's likely pilotless. Not UAV! But actually a fighter manned by some geek in some 3-D virtual reality air-combat type enclosure somewhere far from the dangers of the combat zone.

It's likely one step ahead of F-22's gist being that it's probably dirt cheap to produce -- in the cost range of a J-7 (US 3-5M a piece) hence expendable as that of a missile if need be.

It's probably purely air superiority and not a ground attack system.  The ground attack systems likely goes to the JH-7B and for light strafing roles, third layer K-8's A-5's (A-5 likely will remain in service and play the part of the USAF's A-10 in combat) would take over.

China, my opinion, will likely continue to built "none-stealthy systems" in large numbers because it's dime as dozen hence expendable for jobs where stealth is not required. Stealth will primarily be deployed in areas where air superiority is vital.

Putin's a killer. This was the claim made by Fox News journalist; Bill O'Reilly during his recent interview with Donald Trump. Trump's reply came in the form of a simple question. What, you think our country's so innocent?

The speculative J-16, or possibly the semi-stealthy J-11"D". Compare artists conception 4th diagram image "A" against 3rd diagram image "B" links following:

Here's a close resemblance to what are above diagrams

A very close next of kin of what are the J-15 we now know of...

Russian had ask China to joint the T-50 project but China decline, which mean that Chinese are confindent that they can built better stealth aircraft by themselves and without helps from Russian.
...

i would not be surprised at all that we indeed are in the flight testing stages of something similar to the f-22 t-50. however, these planes would most likely be targeting the revenue generating export markets and not geared at domestic markets.

it's hard press to built a plane of that magnitude and work the price tag for it at anything under 100 million USD. remember, both the jsf and the f-22 now carries a price tag of 150 million. How many such costly planes can a country, any country, sustain?

cost have to reflect everything we do. cost effectiveness will work its way into whether we win a battle or lose it. in a full blown war, especially between the big boy's, no one can afford to continuously restock fighter planes at a cost of 150 million US per pop and plenty plane will be shot down if a conflict ensues round robin between the US, Russia, and China.

the logic and the math tells us cheap dime a dozen unmanned stealth fighters are the wave of the future. Like cruise missiles, they are like disposable chopsticks. if it becomes an absolute must, plane per plane must be the strategy of the day.
