What kind of train connections there are from Moscow to China? Is Moscow too far away from China for train travelers and the only option is by plane? Many thanks for answers.

You may take the trains No. K4 or No. K20 to China.

K4 departs from Moscow via Ulan Bator to Beijing at every Tuesday.
K20 departs from Moscow via Manzhouli to Beijing at every Friday or Saturday.

Hope this helps.

Thanks for the answers. I found these two website very useful too. I used Baidu.com search engine:
(I've tried to post this already but for some reasons the posts did not appear earlier...

The info there looks great. Is it accurate and up-to-date?
For beginners like me this sounds awesome :
"1.  Decide on your final destination.  Vladivostok?  Beijing?  Shanghai?  Hong Kong?  Tokyo?  Tibet? It's even possible to reach Saigon, Bangkok or Singapore overland from London"
It's good to decide the destination first....;-)

A little bit off-the-topic issue about SHANGHAI-BEIJING BY TRAIN.
And the experts take train!! Very good article about travelling between
these two cities by train. Surely worth reading for all first timers in Chinese trains.

"Some people prefer the air Travel, but the experts will take the train! You will take the train in
the evening after supper from Shanghai railway station, after finished a sound sleep in the train,
then you will arrive in Beijing in the early morning"
