i can't remember when Chinese girls started to change their hair color to brown or red。
Anyway, the hair colors of the girls and boys, even senior women,  are more and more abundant.
The most popular colors is brown and red.

i still remember when this trend began years ago, i used to be confused by the hair color from the back of girls with mistaking these chinese girls as foreign ones.

Why do the red or brown hair become a fashion in Asia, especially Japan, ROK, China

I agree, Chinese hair is very beautiful.  However, look at it from their perspective.  Almost all of them have black as their natural hair color.  Of course they would like to stand out, so they all dye it brown... which is strange, since they all do it.  However, American women seem obsessed with dying their hair blond so it would seem the practice is prevalent everywhere.
