while more people in the US are becoming bilingual it is not true that english is dying out or losing its position as number 1 language in the country.  What is happening in the US is spanish is becoming more important, but english is not becoming less important.

it would be PUTONGHUA, the dialects, and selection of elite fellow with ability to converse different global languages!

and English will be important because of the American, and British Economic zone!

China being a GREAT GLOBAL POWER, is interested only in PEACEFUL WORLD.
In our 5,000 years of history we have seen the dangers of over ambition.....
Just in China, the terrible inter state wars of ambitious kings made us fearful of un natural methods....

The SYARIAH is the law of the creator!

English is the de facto language of the world so why complicate things any further ?

Just get the rest onside it'll be easier to do at this stage and better for world trade.

With the added benefit the rest will then be able to congregate here with you lot and tell us how much they hate Anglo's in our own tongue.

Should the Chinese Ministry of Education expand the list of languages pupils can choose from to fulfill second-language requirements for high school graduation?
yes, if possible...
it will allow more options to the students...

Decline of US and Britain = decline of English?

I voted for no.

English is an International language which is relatively easy to learn.

Programs of computer are written in English. It would take me more time to learn Dos, and other computer softwares, if I am English-illiterate.

I get a lot benefits from learning English.
