Pakistan is an excellent example. The results have been very bad for China: India hates them and Pakistan has buddied up to the Americans because now internal crises have taken on a much more serio ...

without nuke, india would take the rest of kashmere from pak already.
The fact northern kashmere still free from India imperial expansion speaks volume

It actually speaks about a pamphlet, maybe a trifold brochure.

Nuclear blackmail to seize Kashmir would have been the end of India, the world won't stand for it.
"Justice prevails... evil justice."

Mr. Kiwi, your job cannot end so soon....
it's a game with a long lifespan!

ha ha ha

It's all about ECONOMIC ZONEs, TECHNOLOGY, COMMODITY SECURING, and alliance with the TRADE ROUTEs (that's the British Club and Asian Trade Route states!!!!!!)

from 1945 to 1985
It was the cold war, THE COLD WAR warriors AND their flashy weapons facing each other across the Alps and German plains!
Down East, battles ground in Korea, Vietnam as the COMMUNICST BLOC battle the CAPITALIST BLOC. The American Regime used the cold war excuse to build up their military industrial complex, and sought the technology for ICBM, space high ground and thermonuclear bombs.
And guess what, in the key ENERGY REGION, gas and oil rich Caspian Sea to Persian Gulf region, American + British alliance sought to protect the oil fields from RUSSIAN alliance!

with the BIGGEST BATTLE in YES, AFGANISTAN! (besides skirmishes in Canaan, Africa especially in the ex Portugese colonies)
(France was licking the post war gloom years, and rebuilding it's national power with super speed development of the technology needed to remain a super power, and protection of the pro France regions in North Africa, Middle East and IndoChina!)

from 1986 - 1997
the American Regime soughted out another ECONOMIC BLOC to have the same fun as it did with the Russian Communist Bloc. This time,it was CHINA, and the NEW MIDDLE KINGDOM bloc. The war is easier with Japan, Korea under American Regime protection, while Hong Kong, Taiwan, Singapore needing Dollars to run their economy! Chairman Deng decision to OPEN UP CHINA to the world in stages, starts to worry the American Regime! The Americans initiallly planed a 1998 -2007 game of ROCK THE EAST ASIAN economic zone to "SLIM DOWN China's ambition" but created immense opposition within in own economic zone - unhappy members could ravage it's own ambition - so changed tact!

then 1999 - 2008
The American Regime prepares a new KONGFU to slim down China, preventing it from OUTSIZING it. Yes, This time it seeks to have it's own presence in Middle East instead of relying on the traditional BRITISH CLUB links with the ARAB ROYAL FAMILIES in the PERSIAN GULF, and British traditional strength in diplomacy, business links to build up infrastructure in Akzebaijan, Armenia in the Caucasus! ie. USA wanted to OUTCLASS British Club's influence in the crucial region!

and YES, it's the COWBOY - YEEEEEEE haaaahhhh KONGFU fashion again!

and yes, NATO was dragged into the fray - yet another AFGANISTAN invasion to surround the region!

.......and let's continue after the New Year!

Happy Winter Solcites, and Merry Christmas!

cheerios!

ASBM,  antiship ballastic missiles that can kill the aircraft carrier
While some choose to fixate on certain new york asian escort elements of naval warfare (i.e. carriers) - the more experienced view the new york asian escorts entire field (i.e. how to contain merchant marine, how to combat invasion fleets, how to bottle up coastal ports, etc. etc. etc.)

As for the rest of your scenarios... I figure new york escort that Russia would take a very cautious stance if P.R. China decided to attack Ta!wan, because it's relations to Mongolia.  The same would be said for India.  That would eliminate a good portion of land routes to the Middle new york escorts East.  As for air and sea routes... <smile>  would not be surprised to see a great many ships and plane suddenly being interned for the duration of the conflict.  As for the Internet... snip, snip of the cables.
2)Submarine launched land attack cruise missile.  US and its allies are pretty sophisticated in intercept ballastic missiles but not as good in intercept stealth cruise missiles.    Submarine launched land attack cruise missile can retaliate US bases in Japan and Guam.
The submarine 095 will be able to do that

3)Land based blinding lasers to cause foreign SPY satellites to malfunction.  Blinding laser is better option to launch anti-satellite missiles.

while a good idea is totally impractical for targetting issues alone. To think that a CVBG, or CSG can be targetted inside a 2million square "box" of ocean is highly theoretical to say the least. You also forget the USN fields SM3 and soon SM6 ABM SAMs on board Aegis vessels which escort the USN CVNs.

2/ SLCM; yes, possible but how will it be "stealthy"? For a SLCMto be truly stealthy it needs a few things. Small RCS, to be sea skimming with perhaps a "pop-up" terminal function and speed. It may even have some form of electronic jamming inherently built in but remember that the USN CVNs carry EW aircraft, AEW aircraft and The F/A -18F has "lookdown"shootdown capability.

3/Yes, laserz can blind satellites as they are today. Would it not then, be a good idea that the next generation have reflective lenses which will reflect the beam rather than absorb it?

Food for thought huh anitmatter? All this hype about China being able to do this and that hasn't come to fruition yet and won't for some time against the US capabilities in the naval spectrum.

1)SM3 hasn't shot down anything at terminal phase mach 10. so far all are nonmaneuvable. this is a missile with cluster bomb inside spreading a wide area.

2)this is land attack, not carrier attack. you saying all your base is guarded 24/7 at all angles? unlikely.

3)how do you determine when to reflect and when to absorb (when doing spying)?
