Go to your history book and you will find that Singapore was a British colony within the British empire then.

Rumour has it that Stamford Raffles who "founded" Temasek, had syphillis. His statue is still found along the Singapore River. Wonder why it is still there. I think Singapore should topple it and put Lee Kuan Yew there instead!
