I'm just tired of how these forums have degenerated.

I feel ya.
And I support you.
But it just ain't that simple.
I have seen the most filthy racist talk that you can imagine.
It goes unchecked.
And what do you get?

And some of them are bullies.

Make it 4

General
Questions
Criticism
Hate'em all

With the last one having an attached warning "Not for people who do not like hate'em all".

Just a vent , a safety pressure gauge which will unload any such posts from the other 3 subforums. Also a box where any of suspicious post might get redirected.

Seldom my!
Why?
Because I write sensibly and in no racist tones.
Learn from me and your posting will not be filtered.

Are you a comedian? Racist threads are by no means deleted.

Meanwhile, any threads that criticize, even mildly, a gobernment we better not mention misteriously dissapear.

Then how about this as a simple solution:

We have two subforums:

General Discussions
Unrestricted

The General Discussions forum could be a scrictly monitored one, expecting all participants to be on their best behaviour at all times. In it, you could ask questions, discuss, and even be critical. You could question whether or not this or that prophet is of God, whether this or that religion is of God, or even whether there even is a God. So we certainly woulnd't be talking about extreme censorship as such. What we would expect though is friendliness and justice at all times. No insults, no intentionally peomoting religious hate or prejudice, etc. Otherwise, all would be fair within friendly and just constraints.

The Unrestricted forum could be a no-holds-barred type of forum, with a warning for all not to enter unless they have a thick skin and leave whatever goes on in that forum in that forum. This would mean that a person who engages in a heated and vulgar exchange in the Unrestricted forum with a particular forumite could not then make reference to that and drag it out in other forums. That exchange would stay in that forum, and they would both be expected to be on their best behaviour outside taht forum. Of course, those of us who do not enter that forum would not even know what kinds of fights are going on. And that would be a good thing for me because I don't want to know what issues X has with Y. I'd just want them to keep it to themselves and focus on the topic in the threads.

That could be a solution too I suppose.
