Do not run from your problems. It might be difficult, but you must confront them as soon as possible and resolve them. Do not get upset by them, deal with them calmly, rationally, and directly. This usually helps you avoid feeling depressed. Also, make sure you understand the difference between being overstressed and being depressed, they often feel the same.
