You can question anything in science? NOT TRUE

You can question anything in science. If your arguments are logical, science embraces you. But questioning the scripture is forbiden by religion.  Science is a repeated self-correction process. Religion is an absolute derivation from one scripture.

It is a LIE.

You can hypothesize any theory of the origin of the universe, of life, of humans,  BUT YOU CANNOT hypothesize that God created the universe, life and humans.

No matter how many refuting evidences on any atheistic theory of origin "science", you still cannot hypothesize God.  You cannot even hypothesize Design by Intelligence - even Alien Intelligence is out because it is too "Godly".

So Science is not self-correcting in so far that only atheistic theories are allowed.

Scripture is different.  It has God as the ultimate author, but requires human instrumentality in its writing and copying and translation and interpretation; and interpretation changes over time.

Interpretation that does not match with ultimate truth (including Science) must be thrown out, because Truth (in Scripture) cannot contradict Truth (in Science).

For example:  God is over-powerful.  Can God make a circular square?  God can change a circle into a square.  But God cannot make circular square. It is a contradiction in logic, and it cannot be true.  Scriptural interpretations that are self-contradicting must be thrown out.  So, there is self-correction in the exercise of logic, in this case.

If humans are proven to be descended from apes, then we accept that Adam and Eve came from apes.  But there is no proof.  It seems that all the so-called homo erectus are simply early versions of homo sapien.  But Science cannot admit God into the equation.  So ape-man evolution is a theory that cannot be scientifically be falsified.  There is no self-correction here.

We all know that religion had nothing to do with what happend in China.
Another attempt to categorize all the West under christianity and to create a new axe of evil.
Already seen propaganda... Joe and Tim, you are just the tools of a Chinese "new world order".

We cannot deny that George W. Bush and some other American presidents were using Christian-sounding argumentations for their policies and also their wars. But if they are sounding Christian, this does not mean they are Christian. Same as some Islamists are not representatives of Islam in its purest form.

What the Western countries and Japan did to China in the 19th century was hardly justified with religious arguments. I don't want to say "not at all", but hardly. And especially Japan, from which China was suffering quite much as well, was everything else but Christian.

Matthew5_3 and Timbukfool,

You are both fundamentalist ignoramuses at either extreme of the debate.

Go off into your own little corner and carry on with your ignorant, unenlightened rantings and let the rest of us get on with sensible debate.

Matthew, so where do we draw the line? Shall we include Zeus, Santa, little mermaid and snow-white into our scientific reasoning?

Christianity

Religion is an indispensable Imperialist tool.It can be used to divide and rule where other ethnic faults
do not exist. It can be used,as Huang pointed out,to create minorities loyal to the imperialist. But there are
lots of Christians who are victims of imperialism as well. There are Catholic children who are dying of
malnutrition in Central America and probably in Zimbabwe and elsewhere in Africa. And there are many
alleged atheists who are absolute bastards. Many Zionists profess atheism. The lack of an afterlife
perhaps makes it easier to butcher for oil or territory or profits .And their scepticism and
"rationality" does not extend far. They have absolute faith in the fraudulent Westerm media. They
disbelieve in the Holy Ghost but believe in the 9/11 ghostplane that passed unhindered through steel
and concrete.

Massacres

The Maori weren't massacred. Get it right! There were land wars, yes but massacre, hardly!

The Maori population dwindled from a likely pre invasion population of 400,000 to a 19 th century low
of 40,000.And there were many pakeha who looked forward to their disappearance at the time.

You probably misunderstood J. Christ's mumblings; as far as I know his last words have been reported with startling differences between the various versions.
