Serfs, peasants, workers of the land.

In Tbet 95%

The ruling class 5% and owners of the land.

Therefore the 95% were landless workers of the land. Serfs.

Western media does not allude to this because it does paint the Shangri-La scenario.

Where are the 5% now?  They are in Dharesalama in India conspiring to get their land back.

To the Mods. Thanks.

And what about China about 50 years ago ?
Assuming today's figures of approx 5% of Chinese being CCP members, with the privileges and power it confers, about 5% of China's population had a similar influence and control over the rest of the population.

And we also know that the CR and GLF were no holiday for ordinary Chinese.

There is a certain amount of hypocrisy for some self righteous "defenders" of China's recent history to go on criticising the situation in Tbt (or other places) without acknowledging the problems at home.

But that's all history, and it's that history (in Tbt) which China turns to again and again to demonise the DL.

What's the situation today?
Well we know China has changed for the better since the days of the CR and GLF, but has Tibet ?
Well the world (apart from China) has seen the DL and heard his words and they have judged that his values today are very different to what he has been accused of 50 years ago.

You're so dumb that everyone need to teach you basic socialism.

Land in China is not for sale, it's only for use of 70 years. Largely different when huge bunch of convicts dumped into a foreign continent and then claimed it's belong to them.

There is a certain amount of hypocrisy for some self righteous "defenders" of China's recent history to go on criticising the situation in Tbt (or other places) without acknowledging the problems at home.

There is a certain amount of hypocrisy for some chest-thumping western supremacist of Australia's recent history to go on criticising the situation in China (or other places) without acknowledging the problems at home.

It's not demonising anyone. Just telling western media what they ignore.

What's the situation today?
Well we know China has changed for the better since the days of the CR and GLF, but has Tbt ?

Tbt? they have the biggest proportion of investment in term of percapita GDP and the life expectancy much better than during DL rule.

But I know this won't be good enough for you. Your prejudiced head prevents you to see positive thing in China.

Well the world (apart from China) has seen the DL and heard his words and they have judged that his values today are very different to what he has been accused of 50 years ago.

Just that he still received allowances from CIA.
