Great changes have taken place in Tibet since the autonomous region's peaceful liberation in 1951. Here are some key facts and figures about Tibet.

The figure may not work well by itself. Let me contribute some more.

Chinese average age is 71.4. World average age is 66.

The longest age countries are Japan and Iceland, 77.

If someone can give the figure of 1950s, it will make more sense.

The mortality rate in Tibet had fallen from 28 per thousand in 1951 to 6.9 per thousand in 1998.
