10% is CHINA GDP forecasted for 2009

Maybe "la la land"

Nouriel Roubini - Nobel Prize winner for Economics, has this to say:

In a country with the potential growth of hard landing would occur if the growth rate of the economy were to slow down to 5-6% as needs a growth rate of 9-10% to absorb about 24 million new workers joining the labor force every year - macro indicators suggest C.hin.a is heading for a ha.rd's GDP growth to 9% for Q3 alone, the fifth consecutive quarterly deceleration and lower than expected. Jan-Sept 9.9% growth is the slowest in five years and almost 2% lower than 2007 pace.  Further slowing is likely in Q4 - perhaps  8%

Estimates for 2009 growth are being rapidly revised down to a 6-8% range. World Bank now expects 7.5% growth next year

That 6% seems a bit like the bare minimum
