I have a simple answer too.
While Pekin OG cost billions of dollars, Londond could develop envronment-friendly ceremony, because the 21 century will be the century of  energy saving, keep environment clean, save ressources, teach people simple things and sane spirit and body. It could help the world  understand the real place of the man on the earth. London OG could remind us the true meaning of the OG letting amateur participate as it was before. Maybe for night performances candle light and the guys who give the start commands in track & field events should clap their hands to start the 100m heat or other events. To transport athletes and spectators we could use horse-drawn coaches or bikes. Did I forget something?

Let's save the environment and enjoy the games

The London subways is in need of air conditioning - has a bad reputation for being very badly ventilated, especially on hot summer days.

According to cika we don't need subways. We need classical Olympics, something like London 1948.
