Consumers are urged to avoid certain tomatoes amid the present salmonella scare. To avoid the current outbreak of salmonella in tomatoes, consumers are told to employ a little detective work and forgo certain types of tomatoes for a while. We have seen supermarkets and fast food chains throw out tomatoes suspected in a salmonella outbreak.

The FDA ( Federal Death Administration) approves vitually anything Big Business wants approved, with shady sometime bad science and back door practices at the risk of the American peoples health. This is the same FDA, who allows up to 8% fecal matter in ground beef  and then has too few inspectors and others quitting because they get threatened for finding problems when inspecting.

We have seen the Koreans demonstrating against the imports of American mad cow beef!

Are food in the US safe?

All these examples are true , buddy . I am now waiting for the (non) rush of the likes of the moral police ( SS ) to come and whitewash the cases .  If this has happened with Chinese products , the baying bandits would have come out in force by now .  We are ready for you ,fellas .

Too right Buddy. You've reminded us of important lessons which should be learned by the USA lest they repeat the ongoing mistakes of certain other countries.

The US authorities need to get on to this immediately.
America does not need the type of lack of proper responses we've seen with Bird Flu & SARS and the US must ensure that its animal husbandry practices never sink to the level where the too close proximity of animals and humans lead to a "flu factory", like we see in some parts of Asia.

As predicted and on cue , emu the donkey came into the fray with hoofs stirring up a real dust storm . China is this and Chins is that . He can't even wait long enough to present his view on the American failing !! Same dumbed down attitude .

The details which have surfaced since the news broke is that the whole chain of public health and medical regulators are on the take , they were bribed or threatened if they do not approve of the unhygienic food producing and processing methods of  multi-national conglomerates even if things are sub-standards .  

To force a sovereign government to accept potentially fatal contaminated beef is criminal . Emu , take your brown nose off his butt .
