Sorry to edit your post, bluey, but all those gaps were just too wasteful and stupid.
I like to space things out by skipping lines to make it easier to read but too many looks ridiculous.

Most of the greatest inventions in the world were made by the Chinese. When those in the west were still living in caves, Chinese had already invented paper, had grand palaces, mastered language, had gunpowder, prototype guns and cannons, compass, firecrackers, etc.
Without paper, we would not have books.
Without books we would not have libraries.
Without libraries we would not have seats of learnings.
