it just feels better to do them with your clothes off

I surely know what it means , but what component does the 'off' act as ?
I suppose it omits  one or more word , but it is more likely that the "off" is a "postposition".
what do you think about it ?

I vote adverb too...

It's like saying, " ...when taking your clothes off your body."

"off" shows where you are taking your clothes.

Think about these sentences, how does "off" function?
- Take the book off the table. (take it where? We don't know, just 'off' for now)
- Get off the elevator. (get what? where? huh? ...Oh, get OFF!)
- Help me take the sheet off the bed. (take the sheet where? Off. Not take the sheet bed, or take the sheet the, but take the sheet OFF)
- (and 'on')... Put the book on the table. (put where? On? under? next to? )

That was an interesting question, and I enjoyed figuring it out, it took me a bit. I hope I'm right.
I am not rich.  :L
