Can anyone help me out explaining the difference(s) between "porcelain","ceramic(s)","pottery","earthenware", which confuse me since i was born...

As we all know in China "陶" and "瓷" refer to different things, former one normally is made without glaze while latter one with, so which is the most suitable word conforming to Chinese?

Thanks a lot!

If you do a search on google with something like "difference porcelain ceramic", you'll find quite a few sites giving you a fair bit of interesting information.

Try to look at a number of different sites, as they tend to talk in terms of products like tiles or crockery, and not just the basic materials.
