Black guys are also human beings.|
This is the true story of Mr Patrick Sianne and me.
I met Mr Patrick Sianne by Chance, and we fell in love after some time. To me, it was not a hard decision at first, because I was not a racialist at all. But I never expected I would suffer more than I thought at the very beginning.
Mr Sianne was a reputable man in his own country, Cameroon. He worked for ten years in CRTV(as CCTV in China) for ten years, and then spent more than eight years in America.
After his teaching programme in Yunnan ,he came to Chengdu where he wanted to settle down. Then we had much more Chance to meet each other. It was really happy time. Although I could feel eyes were focused on us sometimes when we were walking together on the street.
I was always thinking what was love. I was very busy every day during that period, then he took time to take care of me, as if I was his own child. In my heart, Character is of sovereign importance.
He was a well trained writer, but this fact was still helpless. I was on the sidelines of his predicament in looking for a job as a English teacher. Most of the English Center confirmed his English level, but when they saw his passport, they hesitated and sit back to look for excuse.
Several times I went together with him, then I became more disappointed than him. He was optimistic and confident of himself. But when I realized the English Training centers' attitude, I knew it was not by chance, Nealy all of them wanted somebody from western Countries. If the one was a black guy, then he had better come from the USA.
"you were not a small potato in your country",I used to ask him, "then how about other African guys in China, should they deem to be starved? "
He laughed, he was always optimistic.
I never thought too much about racism, because it was too far a way from me. Now I know, even in China, many Chinese people will think black guys are inferior than us. Especially when I saw last thread from this English Forum. Black guys dating Chinese girls, is it really something to bad to happen? I should admit that in the past and in some Black's countries black guys made a impression of violence and poverty on others.
But dose that mean the whole Africa should be underdeveloped and all black men are bad? Is it certain that somebody from underdeveloped countries must be inferior? Another noteworthy detail is that there are not a few teachers who are white people and also from Africa. Are they English native speakers?
I also know some foreigners who came to China just for fun. These several old and rich men who are never lack of girls seem to be more welcome than common black guys in China. Some of them even take a new young beautiful girl with them everyday.
I am telling Truth, not because my boyfriend is black then I am standing with black guys (like something in Chinese "ai wu ji wu"). Girls, you'd also better to think what is more important to you, personality, or color.
Here is the Mr Patrick Sianne's blog: http://blog.sina.com.cn/ppsianne I believe after crossing his blog you will also regard him as a qualified man.
Everybody is equal, when standing under the sun.
Black guys are human beings, they might be intelligent, too.
