Theme: The history of motorcycle development
十八世纪世纪末,人类在自行车上找到了摩托车的设计灵感,汽油机的问世为摩托车的发展提供了动力源。
At the end of the 18th century, human beings derived the inspiration to design the motorcycle from the bicycle because the successful development of the gasoline engine provided the power source to the development of the motorcycle.
1885年德国人戴姆勒发明制造出世界上第一辆以汽油发动机为动力的摩托车,取名为“单轨道号”。
In 1885 there was a German named Daimler who invented the first motorcycle which was powered by the gasoline engine, which was dubbed as “motora weirad”.
第二年,轮德卜拉得和乌甫苗拉又研制出了装有排量为1488C,功率为1.84kW的直列双缸、水冷、四冲程汽油机,并把它装在摩托车上,成为了世界上第一种成批生产的摩托车。
In the next year, 轮德卜拉得and 乌甫苗拉 developed the in-line double-cylinder and water-cooling four-stroke gasoline engines with the cubic capacity of 1488C and the power of 1.84kW, which were later equipped with the motorcycles, so the first batch of mass-produced  motorcycles thus came into the world.

二十世纪,世界的几次大规模战争,摩托车作为主要的交通工具,取得了重大的发展。
战后,摩托车由军用转为民用,在欧洲、美国、日本、中国等国家摩托车生产企业的大力推动下,整个行业进入鼎盛时期。
In the 20th century, several large-scale wars broke out in the world, so as the main transport means, the motorcycle gained immense development.
摩托车的发展经历了100多年的沧桑巨变,在不同的历史时代,摩托车发挥了其独特的作用,即使今天各类其他交通工具的发展已经远远超越摩托车,但摩托车在交通、运输、休闲、运动等领域的广泛应用,仍然是人类行走文明的重要标志之一。
The development of the motorcycle underwent unimaginable upheavals for more than 100 years. In different historical periods, the motorcycle played its unique role and even today the development of all kinds of other transport means has far surpassed that of the motorcycle, yet the motorcycle still finds its wide application in various fields, such as, communication, transportation, leisure and sports, etc., and still represents a very importance mark of the human walking civilization.

Theme: The history of motorcycle in China  
1958年4月27日,济南自行车零件厂(中国轻骑集团的前身)制造出了“卫星牌”机动、脚踏两用车。该车装有单缸汽油机,百公里油耗仅为1.2升,全车重量比一般自行车约重5kg,亦可人力驾驶,为中国第一辆轻便民用摩托车。
On April 27, 1958 Jinan Bicycle Fitting Factory (the predecessor of China Qingqi Group Co., Ltd) manufactured “Satellite Brand” moped motorcycles which were equipped with the single cylinder gasoline engine, and moreover the motorcycled was characterized by the low fuel consumption / 100 km being of only 1.2 liters and light weight, approximately 5kg heavier than the ordinary bicycles, thus it could be ridden by manpower. Yet it marked the birth of the first lightweight and portable motorcycle for daily use in China.  
1964年9月,济南自行车零件厂(中国轻骑集团的前身)以原苏、捷两国联合开发的佳娃50型摩托车发动机为样机,车体设计则参照自行车形式研制出我国最早的50型摩托车3辆参加济南市国庆15周年的游行,当时命名轻骑15C,从此“轻骑”成为了中国摩托车的代名词,并在1980年突破了年产万辆的大关。

In September 1964, Jinan Bicycle Fitting Factory (the predecessor of China Qingqi Group Co., Ltd) took Type 50 Jawa motorcycle engine jointly developed by the former Soviet Union and Czech as the prototype and produced the three earliest Type 50 motorcycles in China with reference to the form of a bicycle for the parade of the 15th anniversary of Jinan City’s National Day Celebration. At that time, it was dubbed as Qingqi 15C. From then onwards, “Qingqi” became a synonym for “Made-in-China” motorcycles and in 1980 the factory broke through the annual production volume of 10 thousand vehicles.
