is housing price really so "sky high" in major chinese city....

Nanjing...probably Rmb40,000 per capita....
so if compare to Shanghai....prices of apartments (reasonable size) 13 x rmb20,000 x 2 (average household income)= Rmb520,000??????

that's terrible.....

The problem lies in the fact that there is such a high demand and in turn a limited supply of land in the city. As more large enterprises from foreign lands are investing in the city it just knocks off the price figures locals can afford. If things continues to be like this...pretty soon our metropolises are going to have projects and ghettos just like Western countries. (Except these people will be the original inhabitor of this land)

I've heard about the terrible house price from my college mates in that city. In order to buy a house, they sold the following 10 or 20 years to the bank already, refunding for the debt.
