Please explain to the the so-called "values and principles" of the rampant
theft and wholesale reproduction of CDs, DVDs, computer software, books,
designer name clothing, famous name wrist watches, famous name golf
equipment, etc., etc., etc.

Japan was very famous for copying, before its ecomomic and technology took off, though intellectual property was not much talked about at that time. It is a stage of development and have to be gone through.
