Excerpts:

HONG KONG: The children of Hong Kong police officers are being “intimidated and bullied” after the personal details ofsome officers were recently leaked, a member of the city's Executive Council said on Monday (Jul 22).
Last month, Hong Kong police announced that they had founda website disclosing the personal data of police officers, including their names, addresses and telephone numbers.
Police officers have been under “extreme pressure”during anti-government protests over the last two months, said member of the Executive Council Regina Ip on the sidelines of a news conference.

“Their personal particulars had been exposed. They complained to me that their children are being intimidated and bullied at school.
“I fully understand everybody's anxiety, but in the near term we must depend on the police - trust and have faith in their professionalism.”

End of excerpts.

So far, I have not found any such report in the westernmedia. It is a common habit of certain western media to cherry-pick on their information/facts/data to support whatever their agenda is. I do not have to mention that the rioters are being painted as "peaceful" protesters by such media and the fact that the pro-democracy camp has not made any objection to the violence of their rioters. In fact, according to them, the rioters are fully justified for their violence. They even insists that the government should not declare them as rioters and they should not face judgement for that. These pro-democracy ruffians are claiming to fight for"democracy" but they are actually hijacking it for their own political agenda. Only the blind could not see that, especially those people who have been indoctrinated with the fixated view of "democracy","freedom", and "human fights" of the "free world".

Off course they won't say anything about this.  It's high time for mainland to do something about this HK debacle
Human lives mean nothing when the western warmongers see a bigger gain through war

The reason why this riot has been going on for weeks with no sign of stopping is because the pro-democracy camp is confident that the government is helpless, something like "damned if you do and damned if you don't" situation. They will keep it up to achieve their goal of separation from mainland China and then they will form their own government with the help of foreign power, just like the pro-independent group from Taiwan. They are not really interested in the welfare of the people because if they are, they will stop what they are doing, which is detrimental to the livelihood of ordinary people in daily life. There are institutions and groups of the pro-democracy camp that are foreign funded so they can go on with this as long as the funds keep on coming.

That is what the pro-democracy camp is hoping for. Then they can claim that the government is using "brutal force" and the western media will have a field day with such news and they will report it across the world for as long as possible. The pro-democracy camp don't care about the lives of the protesters, they care only about achieving their goal to tar the image of the government for the world to see. The reason they are carrying English signs indicates that. If that is done, they will achieve the high moral ground and then they will successfully get the support of the "free world" and more funding for their cause. The anti-Extradition Bill is only an excuse and a stepping stone for moving forward to gain Hong Kong independence.

Here are some comments from forums about the Hong Kong violence. I quote them as they are. Some of the English and spelling may be hard to follow.

The marches in Hong Kong today are not peaceful, but violent, for the purpose of serving the independence of Hong Kong. He broke into the Legislative Yuan for destruction, attacked the police with masks and violence, and even bit off the police's fingers. U.S. consular officials met with riot organizers several times. The American and British media and riot organizers fabricated false news to seduce ordinary people, organized violent attacks on the legislature by masked marchers through a unified organization, and attacked the police with violent tools such as sticks, unknown liquids, feces, bricks and stones. As violence intensified, Hong Kong police used tear gas and rubber bullets against violent attackers.
The whole thing is a farce directed by Hong Kong Independence and anti-Chinese British and American forces in an attempt to launch the Jasmine Revolution in Hong Kong, the British and American intelligence base.

"Violent crackdown"... You got it backwards. It was "Violent riot"! Look in the photo yourself. A flying umbrella made of metal! That's a weapon! In other videos, I have seen steel pipes, bricks, etc. And mainland tourists were beaten on the streets including girls and elders. Local shops were also vandalized and owners threatened not to sell to mainland tourists. These idiots think violence is the answer to all... and blame every of their personal problems on the mainlanders including every man, woman, child, elder they saw on the streets. That's not "pro-democracy". That's almost terrorism!

HK police was rated the best or whatever recently but judging from what happened today, the first person that should be fired is the police commissioner.. How humiliating and embarrassing it is..rioters ransacked and destroyed properties... It may be a public holiday today but not for the police force. Sometimes you need to really bang a few heads to make them understand that such behaviour are not tolerated. Having been to one of those so called umbrella or whatever it means, I was shocked to see middle aged with tattoos, long slimy hair that looks more like thugs giving instructions to fellow students as they assembled. Makes us wonder what seems to be their motivation.. That very moment.. Screwed this.. This is not a protest for the benefit of hk ppl, it a thug lead operation. Makes you wonder who is behind all these chaos...

There are some water content in the article. For those who never live in HK, they should get the real fact first before publishing. As a HK-born citizen, I love HK and wanted it to be healthy. I don't like CCP, but I love the real facts as George Washington did. However, many original video clips revealed the scenario were quite different than those manufactured by some foreign media. First, the reaction by HK police was mild in comparison with occupied in NY or Oakland. The HK police was acting in self defense by shooting plastic bullets when the rioters throwing homemade gas bombs toward them. The media's video stripped off part of the scent to fit for their needs. For example, many rioters (not protesters) removed the metal bars from metal barrack in side walk. The rioters were using those metal bars to attack police and using the protesters as decoy. Third, people should separate those protesters and rioters. You can tell by looking into the picture. The regular protesters did not have all well equipped gears like gas mask, head protection, bullet proof vast and etc. Where and how those rioters have those equipment? Fourth, at least couple video capture foreigners gave instruction to those rioters before the attack by rioters. China called US embassy and protested US's interference in the riot because Chin was able to identify people from US embassy that were participated in the riot. Fifth, HK police were able to intercept messages from social media like Whatsapp, Wechat and others to call for riots and distribute instructions before any protest. What did those groups get funds for such action?

Another opinion piece from the internet forums.

Give MIS-INFORMATION a rest already, The proposed extradition law in Hong Kong is just like any other in most jurisdictions (1) Only criminals whose crime is severe enough to warrant 7 years or more of incarceration, ACCORDING TO LAWS IN HONG KONG, will be extradited. NO Chinese laws are applied. (2) Most advanced jurisdictions in the world have such laws. Why? The law protects them from becoming a haven for international criminal. The law enables them to cooperate with other jurisdiction in efforts to stop/curtail criminals. What is not to like? Hong Kong is actually late in the game in having this law. That begs the question--what is the motive behind those, both local and foreign, in opposing such laws in Hong Kong?
