I find it very strange that the protests and violence in HK are because of the citizens being lerry about the CPC encrouchment.
They worry about more restrictions and repression
and yet.....
They are the very one's causing the turmoil and violence.
Do we see the CPC coming in to quash such protests?
NO!
In America, protesters who camp in streets and destroy government property would be arrested and the National Guard would be called.
These protesters are the example of the very things they protest about and this does NOT make any sense at all.
The CPC has been very tollerant and these protesters should not be pressing their luck.
There is now clear evidence of armed and masked vigilantes violently attacking groups of peaceful protesters. "Restrictions and repression" only equates to "turmoil and violence" by those who seek to maintain the "status quo". These are not the millions of people who have conducted peaceful protests in the streets of HK.
In this clash, the protesters have lost the moral high ground. They disturb social order and peace and get innocent people hurt. It's getting to the point where people are losing sympathy for the protesters. China on the other hand is gaining favor for the great restrain it showed.
By defacing the national emblem at the Liaison Office, the protesters are baiting China to step in, then the foreign media can accuse China of high handedness.

Didn't they storm a government building and desecrate the city emblem?
Not only their own City's emblem, but China's National emblem...
As a parent I'd demonstrate in front of my kids schools and demand the tuition fees to be returned to me plus the principals and down the rank to be fired...
However, they only defaced themselves and Formosa is waiting for the learned Idiots to be had as cheap slaves... What a bunch of Western educated idiots defacing our beautiful Hong Kong by remaining here.

Word is that they're drowning in their own toad-spittle. Being very poisonous, contact with them is said causing their ability to handle big decisions to fade into nothing...
