Mr Ma, I am in agreement with you about working on long 996 time line if the companies are STARTUPs that warrant hard and long hours of dedications as seen in your case as well as the cases of the Tencent Group and the latest Zoom USA. The rewards can be enormously big, if long hours of dedicated works turn out positively or demand team leaders to show and lead the ways for an expected positive outcome : employees have that sort of bountifulness and intelligence to feel around.
However, once any STARTUP makes a good break such as Alibaba did, then team leaders or bosses need to revise their working scheme that balances the normal living standards against / versus work exploitation. Health matters most in any case; else, you will not be able to retain top class staffs since they can walk the line too !
However, 996 working scheme can be applied where the needs are required ( apart from team leaders who often need to stay behind to knock up to 10107 ) only IF mobile phones are disallowed to be carried by workers and staffs. Video games and streamings including console switch gaming sessions are invading the working habits of workers / staffs of all levels and all walks of lives ! Else, how do you expect works to be effective even if 996 scheme is enforced ?
