Why do China's movies fail to gain traction in the US market?

Because, for the most part, they are nothing but rubbish. The only good Chinese movie that was liked, was "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon". The rest I wouldn't take my neighbour's dog to see, and she's blind and deaf.
Stupid people are like Glowsticks. You want to snap them in half and shake the crap out of them until they see the light.
I love sarcasm. It's like punching someone in the head ... only with words

"In some respects, Trump thinks more like a right-leaning Colonel Blimp living in China; he doesn't want people accepting pluralism nor the notion all men are born equal."

The racist in the White House wants the Wall to keep out colored people, to please his white supremacist supporters who are afraid immigrants from the south would dilute the white US population; it's not about security; they are not rapists, drug dealers and terrorists as the racist president falsely claimed!  Trump clearly, unashamedly showed his racist preference for white immigrants when he emphasised on a visit to Europe, that he welcomes immigrants from Norway, all whites!

You are talking rubbish!  Besides Crouching Tiger, there are many good Chinese movies;  your prejudice knows no bounds!  And how do you know they are rubbish if you haven't even watched them?  Talking rubbish,as usual!!

It certainly seems to us you are the rubbish you are talking about here.

A piece of rubbish in your vocabulary is actually a gem, while a gem in your vocabulary is actually rubbish.

No wonder you are here day-in and day-out groundlessly calling others rubbish -- they are all gems.

Bruce Lee was certainly not rubbish.  He exploded onto the screen in a way no Western cowboy ever could.  That's why Hollywood's tough men like James Coburn carried his casket at the time of his funeral.
