If only I could speak Chinese half as well as my Chinese wife speaks English.
Mandarin is a tough language to learn. We both get frustrated but you must
realize who is the superior when it comes to communication.
If capitalism promotes innovation and creativity then why aren't scientists and artists the richest people in a capitalist nation?

Learning a language is like learning a musical instrument.
you have to practice regularly and correct your mistakes.
You can not hope to correct any mistakes (or Chinglish) if you sit silently waiting for the foreigner at an English Corner to be free to speak to everyone in turn.
There may be 1 foreigner and 20+ local people.
They are not there to give you a private lesson, but to maybe to suggest topics to discuss and engage with a group.
If you are not going to speak English, even to other Chinese, in the hope to improve, why are you at an English Corner?
