But how is this China's fault?

Corporations in the US sold out our workers and folded up their pr ...
I just hate what is going on as it doesn't address the real issue here.   Its shifting blame and anger on China for our own self-inflicted wounds.

Apart from Uya and Robert237, you are the next American who admits that in this forum. I am glad to hear that and hope more Americans can see the truth.

I agree with most of what you said.   I just wrote a similar point.

I have one contention here -  ...
the workers and unions have been unfairly blamed.   I don't know why republicans treat corporations like they are royalty never to be scrutinized, but somehow its never their fault.   Fact is wages were not increasing.

You are describing the present condition? I don't know US well and I base my knowledge from the news I read. In my post, I was referring to the union back then in the 50s and 60s when the unions were powerful. That scared the hell out of the employers so that started the proliferation of "multi-national cooperations". If there was less confrontation between employers and unions, maybe US would still have a manufacturing base now.

At the same time, the top executive salaries went up by 600%.   Labor wages have stagnated since the eighties.

There was a time when CEOs were "heroes" in the business world. They have big fat salaries and even get a bonus for leaving the company. I think that is not fair to the workers, which the company actually depends on for operations and sales.

Greed IMO

IMO too.

It seems that US based industry, are more concerned about profit, more than keeping jobs in the States.
These corporations can not say they are "Patriots" of democracy.
Good point about Germany, they seem to be more inline with their citizens and country.
