Having that speck among western leaders are not surprising and that is also among Asian leaders as well.

Many look to China as a Cash denominator $$$ and when they knew the Chinese they will immediately changes its tone and paint a most favorable picturesque of China with welcome open arms.

When China announced the amount it is pouring into their economy and infrastructures an even more apple polishing atmosphere are created as through it is raining not cats and dogs but Yuan pouring from the sky.

Are these truly what China's officials often called old friends or good friends. What will happen when the bucks stop there and will they still see China as what they clearly painted in that portrait then and still standby China?

Old friends and good friends are the one that give you a transparent, clear and genuine assessment or advise and not the one that always painted a blur picture and tell you that it is 80/20 vision.

A genuine friend is the one that give you this advise or assessment which at time may not be what you wanted to hear but in fact a true and correct perspective of the situation.

It is time for China to embark to find who are truly you old friends and good friends and not those fortune seekers that is only interested in China's reserve pouring into their country with open arms.

The journalists who write these articles dont seem to understand those they write about at all.
There has never been any "China bashing" in Australia. There has been issues regarding China that required comment and action.  The Journalists still dont understand the difference between a issue needing attention and being bashed.  Family have disagreements but are still family.  China can have a disagrement with another country over any issue but it does not mean there is any bashing going on.
Westerners are not going to give China a rubber stamp to do as they please without comment or objection.  If Australia does not agree with the US or China on any issue, as a soverign nation it will stand up and say so. If you wish to take comments the wrong way that is your right, and your folly.
Australians will never agree on all things with any country and this includes China.  Get used to it friend, thats Australia for you.
