Vital that China doesn't show that it is trying to replace the US as that isn't the intention. China and US both are pro-trade, competitors but that's all, they are not enemies bent on eliminating the other totally. Sometimes one can be a pain but that's all. China-US collision is what Japan dreams of but it isn't good for either the Chinese or the Americans. Australians should understand that there are already a RCEP and a FTAAP on the table and shouldn't try barking for Japan to pitch US versus China. Some friend of US, Australia is. Why should Australia follow and act on behalf of Japan to ask China to step into US' shoes when Japan's Abe had been hyper-active globe-hopping to brand China maliciously as a military threat just not too long ago? Guess Japan will flip flop its words with no credibility to suit its political game playing and this denies others, especially East Asians, including the Americans a peaceful mind to do business peacefully.
