Students who thought they might get some smog days off from school thanks to this week's airpocalypse were disappointed to learn that their teachers had thought up an innovation solution to the hazy problem.
Officials in Xi'an closed all kindergartens, primary schools and middle schools earlier this week due to heavy air pollution; however, that didn't stop teachers from administering class. Using WeChat and live streaming apps, the teachers were able to drone on as normal in empty classrooms while students watched and participated in the relative safety of their own homes, Shaanxi Daily reports.

While not a perfect solution, it's certainly preferable to being forced to go to school with the AQI rising above 1,000. Something tells us we'll be seeing more of this in the future.
Of course, it's also a way better idea than forcing students to take an exam outside in the middle of an airpocalpyse, as happened in Henan province on Monday.(news from the shanghailist)

So the teachers are expected to travel in polluted environments while the students aren't?
