What do we actually pay for when we buy an air ticket? Notonly for a flight, but for the skills and knowledge of flight attendants and pilots as well! Let us see where the flight attendants are trained.

2.jpg

In some situations each second may save someone's life.Flight attendants should be able to operate as one team, making the right decisions very quickly.

3.jpg

This is an emergency landing simulator based on the Il-96plane.

The flight attendants are about to demonstrate emergency life-saving instant exit from the aircraft.

It's the only pose you have to remember in emergency situations, it's the fastest way to evacuate all the passengers.

The dummy used for resuscitation.

This simulator helps to practice evacuation from a super-jet.

The girls are showing how to act in an emergency depressurization - one has to put a mask on and help others to do the same, if necessary, one will have 15-18 seconds before he or she blacks out. Flight attendants have to control passengers and verbally give orders to them.

9.jpg

Upon landing if evacuation is required they say what to do:take off your shoes, leave everything on board and move to the nearest exit.

10.jpg

Such a signal means passengers should wait. The simulator imitates the sound of an escape chute inflating, the girls show that it's not ready yet.

11.jpg

Go! Go! Go! The emergencies they train for are varied:evacuation in the dark or in other difficult conditions.

12.jpg

The doggie is trained to find explosives.

13.jpg

Girls are training to land on water.

14.jpg

The life vest is to be inflated only after exiting the plane!

15.jpg

Passengers have to occupy positions uniformly around the perimeter of the raft.

16.jpg

And they should row away from the plane as fast as possible.

17.jpg

If someone turns out to be in the water he or she is throwna rescue ring.

Nobody has ever been killed by a shark in such situations, more dangerous enemies are the cold and the sun, a tent is intended to protect passengers.

18.jpg

Various simulators in the training center.

This Tu-154 simulator will be given to a museum soon.

23.jpg

One of the most dangerous situations which may happen on board is a fire. The crew has to extinguish it with improvised means. If it isan engine or a luggage compartment that's on fire, the fire is extinguished remotely or manually.

24.jpg

The luggage compartment should be slightly open, not fully! The flight attendant has to spay with a fire extinguisher inside and then close the luggage compartment.

They are not praying, they are saying what to do right before a forced landing.
