All nationalities newsreaders mispronounce foreign names and give them new names. In the UK we cant even adopt a universally agreed pronunciation of our own town names let alone those in China.

Victoria (pronounced 'vic tor e er') is spelt Weiduoliya by Chinese people (pronounced 'way dol e er' using English phonetics) - not even close. When you get that right I'll review my pronunciation of Chinese names. However with so many different pronunciations of the same name in China I doubt if I will ever satisfy you.
