And there's nothing wrong with the classroom. Sure it's not colorful like what you get in the west. But a colorful classroom is not indicative of good teaching quality or a good teacher, which is more important than how materially rich the school is. |
There are many advantages to living in the rural area, where children are free to run and play with nature. You live in a rich city, stuck indoors because it's too crowded and polluted to go outside. Is that necessarily better? So you can't compare these things so superficially. It's not necessarily better to take the kids to the city with you. Smart people can tell you that true education is achieved outside of school. Where there's a will, there's a way, and there are many, many ways to live.
The children living in the rural area where they are cared for and loved are doing fine--maybe even better than the children living with their parents in the cities. But if you suggest to them that they are left-behind and they believe you, then it's tragic, and it will adversely affect them for the rest of their lives. They might grow up hating their parents because of your suggestion. Do you really want to break families up like that? Leave them alone, and go work on something that truly needs to be worked on, like violence, or the bullying culture, or the distrust of fellow Chinese, or the fear and humiliating environment in the workplace. Only in an absence of such negativity, can the general Chinese spirit be raised and the Chinese people become happier.
