Over 40 thousand sorts of beer existing in the world are made of 4 ingredients which are always the same such as malted barley, hop, water and yeast but still have different tastes. How should all the components be mixed to get nice and good beer? It is a secret and we'll be told it today.
Heineken brewery in Siberia has been part of HEINEKEN company in Russia since 2004. The factory was built in 2003 and equipped withthe most modern German appliances. The factory produces 8 types of beer.
It all starts with the malted barley. At Heiniken they use only natural ingredients. The first stage includes brewing that helps to obtain barley.
Then they crush the barley to get husk, grist and flour. This is where barley and malt are stored.
Wort preparation consists of 4 stages such as mashing, filtration, boiling and clarification with cooling.
Mashing is followed by filtration.
At this stage the wort must be transparent. The more transparent it is the better the beer will be. After clarification the wort is boiled for 60-120 minutes and added to the hop.
After boiling the wort is clarified and cooled.
Stage 3 includes fermentation. Sterile compressed air is injected into the obtained drink. Later brewing yeast is added.
It usually takes 14 days to make beer.
The process of beer making is completely automatic and requires minimum participation of people.
First, the bottles are washed.
Stage 4 includes filtration of particles that make beer look turbid. Then beer is saturated with carbon dioxide and sent for storage.
Then comes dispensing.
The bottles are filled with beer.
Here it is checked whether the bottles are closed properly.
Microbiologists test physical and chemical and microbiological characteristics of beer.
Finally, the beer is ready to be sent to stores.
