When talking about the tough international affairs, the USA always  becomes a focus to be criticized. The USA always rushes the first to put out the fire when there is one in the world. I want to give a big hand to the USA, for Americans have really done a lot to keep the world balanced though not every action the USA took is reasonable. I don't know why so many people blame it. Taking a look at the world, can you find a country behaving like the USA doing so much for other countries? Russia? China? France? ... No. They are good audience only. Do not always complain. When something happens, who is the first one to escape, or who is the first one to take the responsibility? Everyone has an eye. Take North Korea as an example. Up to now, it has tested the nuclear bomb four times. Who is the first one to stop it? Who takes the responsibility to solve the problem? Everybody has an eye.

I am gobsmacked now. What can I say?

Yes, the U.S.A. is often there when a crisis develops, and of ...

" some other countries do more POSITIVE, not just more, on the international front."

Only if you twist what you would call "giving" to ignore large portions that the USA contributes.  So yes while maybe 2 or 3 country's make more private donations per capita once you factor in other things,  like a aircraft carrier parked offshore running fresh water or a US hospital ship,  or the US is the one doing all the logistics of the operation,  then you find that the USA spends way more per capita then every other country.

The USA is always the first to respond,  an having those assets in place ready to respond cost money.  Costs that people like you are more then happy to ignore if it means you get to bust on the USA.

Don't be so damn parochial - it looks provincial to me! The U.S.A.'s percentage of foreign aid is  ...

That percent still amounts to more then the top three euro country's put together.  An that percent ignore's the logistical aspects.  Also ignore's emergency relief efforts funded by the US government directly.  You also have chosen to ignore donations made by groups of people,  like churches an collages.  You count those an the USA's total triples.   Your trying to focus on one small part of foreign aid, private individual donations, to prove your point, while completely ignoring everything else.  None of what you say are lies,  but when you step back an look at the whole thing in context,  your not telling the truth.

"helping people develop a viable agriculture or raising cattle, sanitation, medical care, education"  Ya the USA does this to,  an lots more.  Did you even research this talking point?

"The U.S.A. is plucking the most academically gifted people"  I know right???  How dare those evil American offer the best universities in the world an then give people from third world country's a chance to attend.  An then once they graduate they revoke their foreign issued passport an force them to become Americans.  Europe is so much better,  they just deport them.

Funny how in some threads you try to insult America for deporting illegal immigrants,  an then you turn around an try to insult America for not deporting "gifted people" that want to stay.
