Would anyone, Westerners or Easterners characterise these cultures as tolerating and accepting of sexual abuse of children? Why is India painted in the Western media as a sexually abusive country?

The history of the Catholic and other church organisations protecting their paedophile priests from the law for a long time is well known and still only being 'investigated'.
Here is one report a couple of days ago from The Herald Sun in Australia with a current senator claiming that a former PM was paeodophile.

Liberal senator Bill Heffernan claims to have a list naming ‘prominent people’ as paedophiles.
LIBERAL Senator Bill Heffernan has accused an unnamed former Prime Minister of being a paedophile.

The veteran politician told a Senate Estimates hearing he had given the Royal Commission into Institutional Responses to Child Sex Abuse a police document that names 28 alleged paedophiles — some of whom are prominent Australians.

Senator Heffernan told Attorney General George Brandis during the hearing that he should expand the commission so that it includes the legal fraternity

He said the documents were given to him by a police agency during the Wood Royal Commission into the NSW Police Force and they were “very disturbing”.

But he said the list was outside the scope of the commission’s inquiry.

Senator Bill Heffernan smuggles a fake pipe bomb into Parliament House in 2014 to expose flaws in the building’s security systems.
“There is a former prime minister on this list and it is a police document. No one seems to want to deal with them,” Senator Heffernan said.

“I think it is time, like our churches and our other institutions who are now facing up to the truth, I think it is time the institution of the law faced reality.”

Senator Heffernan said the 28 people — some still practising members of the judiciary — had determined to “keep each other’s secrets”.

He said the people had visited Costellos, a “boy brothel” in Kings Cross, but the judge in the Wood royal commission had “decided it was a no-go zone”.

He did not expand on the allegations or provide any more details but said it had been a failing of the “the institution of the law”.

Senator Brandis told Senator Heffernan he should go to the current child abuse royal commission, which would decide if the information was relevant.

But he warned just because someone’s name was on a list didn’t make them guilty.

“We should respect any decision of the royal commission about the ambit and scope of its terms of reference,” Senator Brandis said.

Senator Heffernan resigned as a parliamentary secretary in 2002 after he used parliamentary privilege to wrongly accused High Court Justice Michael Kirby of using a Comcar to pick up underage male prostitutes.

Why the double standards? Indians need to look at the issue as what it really is - a crime, and not reflective of an entire culture. They need to speak up, both against crimes in India and against smearing of an entire nation or culture.
Note the damning quote from a victim in this news report from The Age in Australia today about a Jewish center regarding this issue..

"The cultural issues are deeply embedded," he said. "I don't believe that a child in the community today is fundamentally safer, due to the cultural issues against reporting, than they were a decade ago."

A Melbourne man who was sexually abused as a child by Yeshivah Centre staff has taken out intervention orders against members of the Orthodox Jewish community, alleging his family was threatened after he spoke out about his abuse.

And several people who were subjected to sexual abuse as children at Yeshivah in Melbourne have now launched civil action against the ultra-Orthodox organisation.

The revelations are contained in a new ABC documentary to be aired on Tuesday night, Breaking the Silence, by film-maker Danny Ben-Moshe. It's the sequel to Code of Silence, Ben-Moshe's Walkley-winning documentary about Manny Waks, the whistleblower who lifted the lid on child sex abuse within Melbourne's Orthodox Jewish community.

This time, Ben-Moshe has turned his sights to evidence presented to the Royal Commission into Institutional Responses to Child Sexual Abuse against staff and directors from the Yeshivah Centre in Melbourne and the Yeshiva in Sydney.

After the Royal Commission's hearings in February, Sydney's Yeshiva Centre leaders publicly apologised to victims and introduced training for rabbis and education programs for children.

But while the Sydney centre was praised for its response, victims said change had come too slowly in Melbourne.

A Melbourne man known only as AVB, who gave evidence before the Royal Commission in February about his abuse at the hands of two men at Yeshivah, and who features prominently in the film, told Fairfax Media that victims and their parents would be dissuaded from going to authorities by the treatment of other whistleblowers.

"The cultural issues are deeply embedded," he said. "I don't believe that a child in the community today is fundamentally safer, due to the cultural issues against reporting, than they were a decade ago."

In June, four months after the two-week hearing of the royal commission revealed cover-ups at Yeshivah stretching over years, the Melbourne Yeshivah Centre bowed to mounting pressure and dissolved the board. An independent panel was appointed to recommend ways to improve governance at the centre.

In August, Yeshivah Centre chief Rabbi Zvi Telsner stood down after it was revealed he had berated a victim during a conversation about the centre's leadership following a cover-up of sexual abuse within the centre.

While Mr Waks and his father Zephaniah have been outspoken critics of Yeshivah, it is the first time other victims have spoken publicly about their abuse there.

AVB told Ben-Moshe that "Zephaniah and Manny, you know, they've moved on. I hadn't taken that leave and the part that really bothers me is we've had all these leaders say that we've learnt a lot, and all these things have changed, but we're post-royal commission and I'm in court, fighting for protection."

One of Mr Waks' brothers, Jacob ("Yanki"), revealed he too had been abused as a boy at Yeshivah.

Yanki, who now lives in New York, said he hoped by making his abuse public he might help others come forward.

He did not want an apology from Yeshivah for the actions of his abuser, but he did want an apology for the cover ups: "Yeshivah does have blood on its hands."

Breaking The Silence will air on Tuesday at 9:30pm on the ABC.

The Catholic church backed the biggest genocide in world history.
All the genocide necessary to steal three continents from the native inhabitants was gladly accepted
by the Catholic church. All the more people to subjugate with the preposterous tenets of Christianity.

So the present day child sexual abuse is just another blemish on this barbaric organization.
If capitalism promotes innovation and creativity then why aren't scientists and artists the richest people in a capitalist nation?

Did you know that same-gender rape is not illegal in China? The current Criminal Law of China refers to rape as a crime against women only. So as society becomes aware of these loopholes, hopefully laws will be amended to close them.

Jagten ..  A Denmark movie really impressed me ..
sometimes I believe completely about every word they said and never suspect it cause we think they are innocent ..but not all of them..
just like Micheal Jackson's case with that child ..
