I do not like or approve of illegal immigration, however that does not make it right to physically abuse or hurt another human being. There is also a difference between illegally fleeing one's war torn country as a refugee and fleeing ones country illegally for economic gain.

A criminal is a criminal. Rules must be enforced or the issue gets worse as you effectively encourage people to be criminals.  

You can talk about this as a crime as much as you want.  It has absolutely no bearing on how I view the crisis.

Its an humanitarian crisis and people should help.
