Do you believe in karma or is it just some fanciful thought? The idea that you reap what you sow in life. People tend to believe in it when it suits them but seriously, is it for real?

It's really a complicated topic. On one level, karma is real. It's easier to just say this, without going deeper. Because if you get deep into the topic, you will encounter ideas such as simultaneous time, and how many people can actually understand or appreciate that?

Also, the law of karma has become materialistic as well. They say wealth is a reward for past good karma, and poverty is punishment for past bad karma. But this is only if you believe material wealth is king. The truth goes much deeper than that. Sometimes poverty is not punishment, but the experience is necessary for personal spiritual advancement.

Suffice it is to say, that if you don't understand how to love others, karma will teach it to you before you are done with your incarnations on Earth. Everything else is not real. If you are not stubborn, you will learn faster. If you are stubborn, you might suffer more. But everyone gets there eventually, so don't worry. Remember, it is always okay in the end. If it's not okay, it's not the end.

There is no such thing as evil. People doing what everyone else sees as "evil" believe that they are doing good. It's because human nature truly is good. No one can live with themselves if they truly believed that they were evil.

But, even though evil is not real, given a choice to do good or evil, you should always choose to do good. Otherwise, you will get pulled into a vicious karmic cycle, which is not to make you afraid, but it is only there to teach you. There is no eternal damnation, so don't worry if you make mistakes.

Love is the order of the universe. Without love, there would be no life.

In basic reality, there is only love and there is actually no karma.

The true nature of reality can't be appreciated intellectually. You must try to use your intuition to understand, by getting in touch with the inner source of life. No one can help you understand anything, you have to help yourself.

I didn't know there were monks here. Just kidding but that was quite an eye opener by you. So it all comes down to love. cool.

How about children who live a life of suffering because of a terrible disease they have got? Do they experience those misfortunes because they did evil or they were bad guys in their past life?

On the other hand I do believe there is order in this world and that if you cheat someone, you are going to get screwed but people seem to get away with it.

Do you want to know what's more real than karma? It's the fact that you create your own reality.

If you are still a beginner, then we will talk about karma. But if you are more advanced, then we will talk about how you create your own reality.

You chose your parents and your own life situation, including your country of birth, where you will grow up, and the problems you will encounter. These are all forgotten once you are born, but your soul still remembers. This means that all this information can be obtained through hypnosis.

The idea of disease as suffering is only suffering because of human perspective. In the grander scheme of things, it is not necessarily suffering but experience. So we take up human lives in order to experience and learn different things.

The idea of reward and punishment is a human invention. Beyond human life, there is no such thing as punishment. Love is the order of the universe. We are here to learn. There is no punishment, except what humans do to each other.

Because each of us creates our own reality, it is important to believe that human nature is good, and that other people will treat you well. If you believe in enemies, you will find enemies, but if you believe in friends, you will find friends.

No one gets away with anything until you get to the point where you understand the true nature of reality, at which point all karmic debts are cleared. At this point, you won't be able to hurt another, because it isn't in your nature to do so. When people hurt each other, they do so because they don't understand.

From what I heard, for those who hurt others, they will have to come back and serve and help others. Lack of sympathy will attract to you the same misfortune so that you may learn sympathy. So for each life that is disease-ridden, I believe that there is no one reason for it, and the reason is different for each person. You would have to be psychic to know why this person is in a certain circumstance.

There is this story of a couple whose child of 3 years died of a strange disease. The couple came to see the psychic Jane Roberts, who channelled Seth, the evolved spirit. According to Seth, the child had already finished with his incarnations on Earth, but came back one last time only to help his parents, to return the kindness that his father had for him in another lifetime. But this child did not want to live to adulthood, because the idea of getting married and having children again frightened him, and so he made sure that he would be born with a disease and not live past the age of 3.

At the death of their child, the couple out of great sorrow, turned to spirituality. If the child had not died, the couple would not think to walk the spiritual path, and the child knew this, and so it was in this way that the child paid them back the debt of gratitude.

So you see that the death of the child in this case was not at all punishment for anyone, but it was to help the parents become spiritual.
