Films portray and offer morals for their audiences to accept, absorb and maintain - when they are harmful, 'negative' values surely this is immoral and corrupting.

I think it should be illegal to smoke in public. It's very important that artists are allowed every facet of the imagination to paint their picture. If smoking is part of the story, then omitting that truth would defy the accuracy of the movie. If smoking on the big screen is found to be influential then the movie should recieve an "R" rating, and maybe the same warning on a pack on smokes.
