I was once a proud American.
The foundation of a new government that takes in account “freedom and liberty” for all was a revolution (sounds Chinese) in its day. The protection of religious belief was unheard of. To be able to voice opinion of decent, gather in mass and print whatever one pleases was unbelievable. A capitalistic system that gave anyone a chance to rise in class via hard work, ambition and ideas. A political system of “checks and balances” that would insure an “incorruptible” government.
America was once a symbol of good nations would emulate for generations.
This “system” did do wonders in its day.
Americans enjoyed prosperity and growth the world has never seen before.
Sadly, this system has outgrown itself and has run its course for good. It has evolved into something dark called “Greed”.
Now I see a political system that is controlled by the rich.
Wallstreet, banks and corporations have the political process by its “balls”. They can oust good politicians at will if, they don’t tow the line of a capitalistic agenda.
How many leaders of countries were overthrown or killed if their views opposes the interest of the rich?
How many monstrous dictators were installed so that the ruling class could keep power over the people?
Look at all the serious problems the world is facing today, and ask yourself what role America has played promoting this.
We are the largest weapon supplier on Earth.
Has that made a “better” world?
How can America right itself, when it is so easy to throw money to a party or individuals to obligate them to put forward policies that support the ruling class cause, no matter the harm it does to others and the world?
America lost its way
