I have come into this "debate of sorts" rather late and have not had time, nor the patience, to peruse all 24 pages of the chit-chat. I think I got to page 12 ot thereabouts. Any country is the best place to live according to your personal needs and philosophical mindset. Surveys are a crock of nonsense. Always have been, always will.

what...japan is sooo crowded & not quite exactly welcomin foreign into their itsy bitsy little tiny islands, and yet most countries in the europe are basically emptied with prairie after prairies not unless you like to stroll with your cows

Japan? I have been to many countries but never that one. For a start - they can't cook! Well, can they? Most of what they serve up is raw.
