Occasionally, this sentence attracted me vastly, but I could not know its deep meaning.

So, I seek it out from website and find the whole poem.

Dreaming in the memory is not as good as waiting for the paradise in the hell.

eternity is not a distance but a decision.

Fading is true while flowering is past.

A heart that loves is always young.

At the touch of love everyone becomes a poet.

Brief is life, but love is long.

Comment compter sur votre.

Distance makes the hearts grow fonder.

Do you understand the feeling of missing someone? It is just like that you will spend a long hard time to turn the ice-cold water you have drunk into tears.

For our ever-lasting friendship, send sincere blessings and warm greetings to my friends whom I miss so much.

Fading is true while flowering is past means that flower will wither and that hero can be down and out. There is no immortally thing. So when you have a boom, you will face a bust. And in the poem, distance makes the hearts grow fonder in English, while distance makes out beauty in Chinese. So similar in concept!

However, this poem makes me think about “College Entrance Examination”, called “Gao Kao” in Chinese on 7th-9th June, 2016.

In senior high school, we just study for the examination, for the desirable college, and for our dream. We don’t take part in any party; we don’t listen to music; we don’t have enough sleep. We just stay in classroom to search for knowledge, if you like to call it. Once passed away the tough three days, we will tear up our books; we will have a dinner party within a dinner party; we will lose our voice in Top KTV. We think it deserves; we think it should be; we think it takes for granted.

When we received the admission notice, our mind are set at ease, and our parents will treat all families and friends to announce that we will go to college. Therefore, we become a freshman with the best wishes and congratulations from them.

A new life is promising but unseeing, because we will find the college is not what we imaged before. The flowering is past.

We become helpless and confused. No teacher gives us instruction to learn; no parents accompany us to stay up late together; no intimate friend to talk heart to heart. All things are newfangled; all things are strange .

Some students can behave themselves to learn skills and plan their lives. Others may start a squander life.

We start playing smart phone everywhere; we begin to find a boyfriend/girlfriend; we skip class for seeking excitement; we play web game all night; we sleep as long as we want. Fading is true and coming now.

We are lost; we don’t know what to do and how to do. Two years later, we begin to doubt why we are here; we start to face our college life; we worry about future life.

So, in junior year, most of us will be mature. We may earn varous certificates for work requirements; we may further our study for postgraduate education or studying abroad.

In senior year, we think back and sigh with emotion that how time flies. And then we get our diploma to move forward. College life is over.

But how many books you read? How many works you joined in? How many skills you learned? If we have realized our dreams which were wished in senior high school? Maybe yes or not. The college life we think is not the same as that in reality.

Fading is true while flowering is past.

Funny-boy: Confuse much more, far away from home and more presure need to be faced.
It is the same as that in me now.

Just let it go, and follow your heart.
