Learning Chinese

My sister and I are both in the process of learning Chinese; we love the country, the language, the culture, and are probably going to be spending a lot of time in China in the future, therefore we have every reason you could think of for learning this fascinating language.
Chinese is very difficult to learn once you go deeper into the basics of the language, and in a month my sister and I were already at a high level. We have many Chinese friends and speak and WeChat with them on a regular basis, ready to maintain our skills.
Here are a few tips on flourishing in Chinese and moving forward into the deeper concepts:
1. When you see someone that is Chinese, say 'Nin/ni shi zhong guo ren ma?' and perhaps start a conversation with the person. It doesn't have to be complicated, but simply meeting someone that is fluent in the language you are learning and speaking with them can influence your learning and encourage you to study further.
2. *Only if you have Chinese friends or someone to chat with in Chinese*
Download WeChat and/or QQ. These are very famous Chinese apps where you can post and chat in Chinese with your friends. You can look at the Chinese posts of others and learn keywords.
3. Download China Daily.
China Daily is (also the founder of this blogging site) an app/site that has the top Chinese news. It also has World News and news from many places. It posts many tips for learning Chinese and interesting facts about Chinese festivals and China which can enlarge your knowledge of China and the language.
4. Download apps such as Chinese Skill.
These apps help maintain your skill digitally.
5. Converse in Chinese with Chinese friends to practice.
6. Hang notes with Chinese keywords around your house (if you permit this).
7. Read Chinese books with Pinyin and Chinese characters. It is best if they also have an English translation. You can write notes on new vocabulary words.
8. Read traditional Chinese drama and wisdom stories in English to enrichen your culture.

Good to hear that, it consoled my disappointment in learning English. I also want  a further move  on my English level. Maybe your tips are compatible and suitable with English Study. One aspect you are superior to me is you are with a lot native speakers that I can hardly find one in real life.

Learning is never easy! Sometimes it takes time longer than expected. Truth is that learning another language could open more opportunities. Chinese language is never easy for certainty. Just its form of writing would be difficult. One or more stroke would result a different character.

I agree! I never said here that learning (or Chinese!) was easy. I just gave a few learning methods that could make it slightly easier. :)
