  • Chinese Students Will Conquer English 2018-1-4 13:15

The fact is there is no requirement in Gaokao for oral English!  The goal of Chinese students is to get the highest mark they can to get into the better schools.  The Chinese English teachers do their best to facilitate this. I think the best idea is to start learning oral English in pre-school and primary school with little to no grammar being taught until the 5 or 6 grade.  Give the students the foundation and English becomes easier.

  • The Story of Jeremy, Can Your Child Go To Harvard? Part 2 2017-12-19 14:59

Harvard Uni is extremely "intervened politically" by all sorts of politicians; and that's true, NOT all graduates from it did well after all, if NO clout could be built upon it. So why trying to spend all your lifelong saved moneys for Harvard? Great shots like Mr Bill Gates and Mr Warren Buffet did NOT graduate from it, see? These two gentlemen are the true players and actors in this global business building arena; but NOT Harvard graduates unless you intend to establish political clouts in the USA.

In your own turf, like China for Chinese fellows, local universities are affordable, if you get in them, which is a wiser longer term investment. But, nothing stops people / post graduates to embark on higher studies abroad, hundreds more with similar or better quality, depending on what you want and where to live.  Mums and dads should learn how to prepare their kids mentally to accept local universities as a quasi standard for betterment of education / lifestyle first of all; then, allow them to think for themselves ( "whats" mums and dads want / wish are NOT necessary fitted to their kids' wishes and capabilities).
