Share My Bike?
2017-3-19 10:17
My Bike? Last weekend, I was hanging out in the downtown with my friend and sister. We were walking at a public spare when all of a sudden a heated arguing between a student and a middle-aged woman arrested our attention. Out of curiosity, we all stopped to look around and found that they were arguing over an Ofo bike which recently got quite popular in this city along with two other bike-sharing companies including Mo-bike. From what we observ ...

7. Life teaches us a lot of lessons which I believe that we would be far better off with first hand experience regarding to those lessons rather than second hand one. This also perfectly explains why we cannot lead a decent life after being lectured by others all these years. Our parents always believe that we should follow their advice because they have been through the journey we are taking and because they are giving their hard-earned lessons to us so that we can ...

Share Random Thoughts from Old Time (1)
2017-3-16 10:36
I wrote these about two years ago. I have been sorting them and decide to post some of them here. They are raw feelings and therefore can be very subjective. 1. If I were an unfinished song, would you be the lost part? If I wrote down the lyrics, would you compose the melody or vice verse? If I didn't tell you the underlying meaning of it, would you be able to figure it out yourself? If I hummed the song by moonlight shadow, would you hum it with m ...

Share Learn Chinese Well
2017-3-16 09:11
Learn Chinese well As a Chinese, I had never considered how difficult it could be to learn the language of Chinese. I just assume that I should be able to pick my mother tongue up pretty easily. But when I recall the process of learning Chinese, it was indeed a grueling as well as painstaking process to even just try to learn the basics of this language. I spent all six years in primary school learning the pinyin and the strokes of basic Chinese characters. At that ...

Share A Pet
2017-3-5 09:17
I watched “ A Dog ’ s Purpose ” this afternoon. It is not a particularly good movie. But it touche d me all the same. I had had a few pets when I was little, dogs and cats. Even though I grew up in an extended family and have a younger sister, I still treated my pets like my best friends. My parents were away a lot and I constantly had bickers with my sister and cousins, so it made sense for me to treat my pets like my best bu ...

Share Slow down and Savor the Moment
2017-2-28 11:33
Everything is in a rush. Flowers are rushed to blossom to bring fragrance to and lighten the mood of people. Deadlines are rushed to be met so that more of our precious time can be saved. Everybody is in a rush, on the way to a workplace, to a school, to a tourist destination etc.. Children are rushing to grow up, trying all those things that are way beyond their age and behaving in certain ways that are not becoming to th ...

Share Everything I Never Told You
2017-2-25 09:27
Everything I Never Told You This is a book written by Celeste Ng. "Lydia is dead." The whole book starts with this suspicious fact. It's the very first sentence but it has already laid the base of the whole story. It's like I accidentally stumble into the end of the book. Knowing this, I desperately want to find out what has happened to her that leads to her seemingly doomed end of life. Lydia grows up in a middle-class family whose mother M ...

Share La La Land
2017-2-19 09:06
One of my friends had watched this movie three times cause he was so in love with it while some others had to leave during the middle of the screening as they simply didn't feel a thing. The movie was on in China on Valentine's Day which to a certain extent subtly suggested that this would be a beautifully touching love story suitable for couples. With this in mind and the awards guaranteed quality, people held high expectations for this. While things didn't quite tur ...

Share Me Before You
2017-2-16 17:17
When nearly everybody on my virtual circle of friends was talking about this movie, I anticipated that it would be on in the mainland of China. But it didn't. Still, I got to see it the other day online. The storyline is simple and even a bit cliche in my very personal opinion. It reminded me of the French hit movie "Intouchables". But other than that, I love every bit of the movie: the music, the scene, the leading actor and actress. I particularly love the topic the ...

Share Teacher & Education
2017-2-14 16:01
" English Teacher" was what I wrote down on my high school classmates' alumni books in the column of dream job. I scribbled it down so many times that I was very sure that was what I would do for a living in the future. For a short period in university, I hesitated regarding this decision. During that time, I was enthralled by the eloquence as well as elegance delivered by outstanding interpreters at press conference. I was simply awed and mesmerized by their compell ...

Yesses.Though for me the first idea comes to me when thinking about resolutions to the issues on sharing bikes is we develop higher level of moral which could contain our behavior to the better direction, penalty rules actually are supposed to the better method of solving the issues. Penalty rules are always the starting point to change people's perspectives of their behavior.

Yeah I do not think I would invest in bike sharing. With better rules I think that bike sharing can be a more valuable social asset helping with transport and pollution reduction and as consumer purchasing power of the Chinese increases larger profit margins will be possible. And yeah there needs to be adequate penalties for abusing the bike sharing system. I read about two Chinese nurses that were jailed in one Chinese city for tampering with share bikes to give them unmetered access and I think this is a bit harsh but appropriate fines could act as suitable deterrent. I wouldnt get hysterical about bike sharing but I think it can work with the right rules and plan.
