I have no reason to dwell on Japan's imperialism. Nor is judgementalism ("Japan's imperialism is the worst...") a rational option. I wish to stay on the original topic: why isn't Germany an imperialist any more? Unlike all others, Germany has atoned and learnt its lessons. ALl others - except perhaps Japan - not only have not learnt their lesson, but they exercise power over the rest of the world. Does Japan have any influence in other countries? Does it dominate other nations? Ridiculous claim. France does, Britain does and both still run colonies. The U.S.A., Russia and China are super hegemons. Germany is an economic superpower but it is irrelevant in world politics. It has been neutralised through treaties with its former adversaries. It has also paid huge indemnification amounts to the victims of Germany Fascism during WW II. It is one of the most charitable foreign aid donors. What other nation has such a stellar post-war record? None. Even so, Germany also is the first to deal with demands for compensation and an apology to former colonies.

"How do you know what the Germans are thinking?"

I have already answered this point of yours. This is not an intelligent question. If you harbour such suspicions about the Germans it is your right to investigate or solicit views, but it is not your right to attack Germans as a nation slyly and inexorably attaining world domination and control over other countries.

I told you in a previous reply that unlike dictatorships, the German democracy is transparent enough for all and sundry to see what the ulterior goals of the nation's politicians are. Every decision has to be endorsed by the citizens. The Germans cannot be brain-washed as N Koreans are. The country is open. There are several million foreign-born residents, some with dual nationality, who can easily monitor what's going on. A German who praises the Reich will inevitably cause a scandal. Anyone who wants to retake German possessions that have fallen under Polish, Russian, Czech, French sovereignty will face a very harshg, unmelodious music from his own compatriots. Today's Germans are unlikely to go to war to recover Alsace or Bohemia or Silesia. If you don't see that you should not even talk about Germans.

That's nothing to be proud of. China created the evil N Korean monster. The U.S.A. liberated the South from the imminence of a brutal communist dictatorship envisaged by unpopulr Korean communists misguided by the Soviet expansionists. China entered the fray to keep both the Soviets and the U.S.A. out of Korea. The U.S.A. was wise in not pushing harder as it would have faced the world's two biggest armies united against it. The enemy had the advantage of distance and vicinity plus numerical superiority.
