America Is To Blame

A recent feed/post that went viral on WeChat (Weixin) said that the recent turmoil in the Chinese stock markets is the fault of the USA. In fact, it even stated that the USA 'planned this' to punish the Chinese over the recent move to devalue the yuan. Some of the comments got even more specific and blanketed many of China's woes as the fault of the USA. They said that the explosion in Tianjin was the work of America. Someone even suggested that America did it with a dropped bomb 'like they did to Japan during the anti-Japanese war.' (No mention about Nanjing and the devastation that was inflicted on China until the USA dropped those bombs which caused an unconditional surrender of the Japanese and withdrawal from Chinese soil.) One person went so far as to blame the typhoons that have hit China as being instigated by America. America is so powerful and can create catastrophic events in weather, in gas explosions, earthquakes, etc.

It never ceases to amaze me how naive people (not just Chinese, but, millions of Americans do this also and maybe even worse and more ignorantly) can be.

The most outrageous of all (and perhaps some truth to it) was a lady who blamed China's air pollution on the USA. She said, "If America didn't consume and waste so much of products that are made in China, then, Chinese people wouldn't have to work so hard in manufacturing those products and the companies would put out less pollution into the air." So, not only is America to blame for the air pollution problems, but also, the many jobs that are created here in China that give people the opportunity to earn a living for their families. And I'm sure with all of the stress (some of it definitely real and detrimental to people's health and well-being) and exhaustion from working at those companies that produce products Americans consume, that America is weakening the family structure of many here.

I say, 'if there's a problem in China or anywhere else in the world, our standard should be blaming America for it.' American politicians act as if America is in charge of the whole world and knows what's best for every country. So, we should make them responsible for anything that happens on the earth. That will make all of our problems easier to deal with and never require anyone else to take responsibility for anything that happens.

America did it. End of story.
