Poverty Is more Dangerous Than Nuclear Weapons !

Popularity 10Viewed 6658 times 2017-5-11 09:52 |System category:News| Dangerous, important, tackling, problems, violence

Fighting poverty and diseases is more important than tackling the nuclear threat. Throughout history, millions of people were killed by long-established infectious diseases. Epidemics are the real threat to human today than any other kinds of weapons. About 40 million people were killed in the First World War, while 100 million were perished either in the copper mines or with a virus.

Poverty leads to terrorism, poor health, child abuse, violence, human traficking and all other social problems. Poverty has to be tackled and defeated. The only way to maintain a world peace in not by signing peace treaty and attending peace conferences . societies that left behind need the help of the developed world to provide them with education and means needed to enable them to catch up with their fellow humans. Children that are being recruited by exterimist groups need to be eduacated. Unemployment is the biggest threat to humanity and that creating new jobs is the best and most effective weapon.

In 1974, the first world food conference was convened in Rome, the delegates were treated to apocalyptic scenarios. They were told that there was no way for China to feed its billion people, and that the world's most populous country was heading towards catastrophe. In fact, it was heading towards the greatest economic miracle in history. Since 1974, hundreds of millions of Chinese have been lifted out of povert, and by 2017, China is free from famine.

The nuclear threat is less since the Russians and Americans have decided not to continue their massive (tens of thousands of warheads!) confrontation. The current threat involves only a few hundred warheads. However, the main nuclear powers (China, France, India, Russia, UK and USA) need to get together and disarm Israel, Pakistan and North Korea. (I permit India its nukes because they are not as unstable as Pakistan). I add that world poverty is a greater danger than global warming. We should cut carbon production only in ways that do not increase poverty.

make yourself richer, make yourself happier. Life is as simply as this.

There is "poverty" and there is "poverty". Some cultures thrive in poor environments and people never live posh lives. The environment fosters cultural developments of one kind rather than other kinds. Some peoples develop a culture that takes care of the basic needs of all members of a society or community thus alleviating the individual impression of being poor. Think of the many peoples living in farflung and undeveloped lands in Africa or Central Asia. They do not prey on their fellow men to get rich.

Other cultures, however live in a land that provides everything in superabundance. Some members of these societies amass great wealth, others become lazy. In time there will be inequalities and inequities and strife. These societies are likely to go to war to satisfy their material desires.

you can see that "poor" in the latter type of society is defined very differently. You can be poor but a beggar and actually enoy a good life.

War is made possible by poverty. Poor people will be persuaded that some foreign power is making them poor and they'll support war. People who are comfortable and secure are less likely to be persuaded by their lying elites that war would benefit them.

simply law:The degree of happiness will be cut down for the lack of "Enough"money. Money does not neccessarily lead to happiness. It is true. But I am sure without money in hand, there is no such a thing as happiness in one's life.

Is that your "education"? It shows no wisdom, no philosophy, no insight. It is cold, hard-nosed and greedy materialism.

Why do people need jobs? There is a great surplus and it would be easy for society to cover the basic needs of members of the masses that do not want to work. Why cant the world be like the utopia that Oscar Wilde describes in his essay The Soul of a Man Under Socialism? It is having to go to work that makes me want to kill surplus capitalists - not not having a job. More and more people do not want to work. I hate working because it gives me no time to realize my true self. Isnt that what life is about? Realizing our true selves? Do you think we are all slaves of surplus capitalists or something? I dont want a good job. A good job wont make me happy. I want to not have to work and for society to stop attacking me and treating me as if I am a slave. I want society to provide a wall for me so that I can realize my true self. Why do you want me to have to work? I didnt ask to be born - society allowed it. If society wont cover me with its great surplus then I want to destroy society.

And this 'education' nonsense. What a load of garbage. Shame on you for using 'education' to justify poverty. Every human deserves a decent quality of life unless they are some kind of criminal or something. And even criminals deserve to have their basic needs covered.

It is what you 'educated' capitalists do. You use 'education' to justify poverty. Are you just kidding yourselves so you dont feel guilty? I think that many of you are. You worked/studied hard right? So you deserve your comfort and ease - and the ones with no education - well of course their lives are horrid.. Are you serious?

It is nothing to do with education. It is what I learn from reality. Can you understand what it means no coins in hand? I have crawled a long way from poverty. When you never experience the  bitter taste of poverty, don't just me with the word "materialism". It is always easier to talk than experience it in person. Even though in 21st century, I had experienced the feeling of hunger to death. I am an educational person with the wisdom of realism rather than idealism.

I don't crave for materialism. Before you judge a person whether materialistic or idealistic, please get to know the person and the stories behind her back. I am not living in the "ivory tower" as you do. I know I need to have money in hand, and I will earn it in the right way. If this is the greedy, crazy, superficial characteristics you think of me, I am fine with it. I know poverty, and I taste it. Do you really know what the word "poverty" means in your life? It is about survival rather than living. I want to survive in the society, and I work for the goal in a decent way. What's wrong with that?

between 1950 and 2000 american GDP grew from 2 trillion dollars to 12 trillion dollars. real per capita income doubled. the newly invented contraceptive pill made sex freere . cheap cars, refrigerators, air conditioners, vacuum cleaners, dishwashers, washing machines, telephones, televisions and other elctronic devices changed daily life almost beyond imagination. now, studies show that american subjective well-being levels in the 1950 remained roughly the same as 2000. In Japan , statistics showed the same . It seems that out happiness bangs against some mysterious glass ceiling that does not allow it to grow despite all our unprecedented accomplishments. Even we provide free food for everybody, cure all diseases and ensure world peace, it won't necessarily shater the glass ceiling. Achieving real happiness is not going to be much easier than deafeting death and aging. wealth alone can't acheive real happines, how many wealthy people have committed suicide ? fame alone can't acheive reall happiness as well, how many famous people have taken their own lives ??? reall happines beyond your healthy bank account and the number of your fans.........

Agree on that wealth alone doesn't comes to happiness. It is a good point in case. What I am trying to say the pursuit of happiness is based on the "needed" wealth. I cannot believe that a begger or a person without "ENOUGH" money in hand can be the so-called "happy". Let's be honest, do you want to have your life with more money or less money? If wealth has nothing to do with happines, what's the purpose of working? Someone needs to be the bread-winner in its life. That's what I am trying to make clear.
