History can be divided two parts. Actual history, which is what really happened there, and factual history, which is made up according to the interests of the powerful nations. This appears in ancient history much as many facts are in hand of archeologists and well-established archeological institutes, not among common people. However, sadly this was also happened when world wrote about the history of 1940’s WWII. China’s role was not taken seriously as most of documentaries and reports were in favor of the victory of Europeans and Americans. BBC’s WWII documentary which, can be considered the best one among thousands of world war reports; they dedicated entire 2 episodes on Russia’s role in defeating Nazi Germany. However, I do not remember if there was at least a word about China in entire series.

The truth was bitter. China lost more than 14 million brave lives. 100 million innocents become refugees. It seems the world forgot one of major victims and the bravest struggler among all in the WWII.

Now China is powerful and wealthy. They no longer need sympathy from others to write their part of history. They can themselves occupy their right place in the history. Therefore the victory day will be added to the calendar from this year and it will start its journey to establish their role in history of WWII.

Today around 10.00 AM that ancient movement occurred, I managed to watch it using online streaming. The parade was unprecedented scale as it exactly reported on BBC. The massive parade started once obtained greetings from President Xi, “Tong Zhi Men Hao” … “Tong Zhi Men Xin Ku Le” which represented the love and care of a leader to the people.

Enemies and haters of this wonderful nation will say many things, probably hardly catch up some flaws in the parade. However, I think as a nation who lost 14 million lives in WWII, they have right to held this parade and say the story of themselves in the victory of the biggest war ever happened on this earth, WWII. And they did it well. As sons and daughters of brave mothers and fathers who scarified their blood to end the WWII, they did their duty well. They make their parents proud.
